Trophies awarded at these tournaments are manufactured from valuable metals such as gold and silver, and so just as you would insure your jewellery and other precious metal items against theft, loss, and damage, you should consider doing the same for your golf trophies.
While many people already have household insurance, most policies do not cover the replacement of personal items that are lost or stolen while not on your personal premises. This means that if you acquire a golf trophy abroad and it is stolen from you while you're travelling, you won't be able to make a claim since it won't have been stolen from your primary insured residence. *Equipment replacement is on a ‘New for Old’ basis for items purchased new and up to three years old subject to satisfactory proof of ownership. Items which are older than three years or not purchased new will be replaced on the indemnity value of that equipment at the time of loss or damage. You can extend the standard ‘New For Old for 3 years’ cover to be for the ‘Life’ of your equipment so in the event of a claim you would receive new equipment at your original purchase price, regardless of its age. If you require ‘New For Old For Life’ then simply select this option on your application.
