Golf Care 2015 Survey Winner gets his brand new Mizuno Irons!

mizuno survey winner

Golf Care, the UK’s leading provider of specialist golf insurance run a survey every year to give an insight into UK golfing trends; preferred brands, lifestyle choices and average spending habits when playing a round of golf.

This year we gave away 39 exciting prizes just for filling out a short survey. 25, 12-ball-packs of Mizuno JPX balls, 10 Mizuno MP-T4 wedges, 3 Mizuno JPX 850 drivers and a full custom made set JPX 850 Mizuno irons. We caught up with Alan Naylor from Derbyshire after his day at Moor Allerton Golf Club in Leeds to get his side of the winning story.

“A few months back when I was asked to fill in an easy, 5 minute long, golf related survey, I never thought I’d find myself in the position I’m in today. All set to go for a round with my brand new shiny set of JPX 850 Mizuno Irons. I really didn’t think anything would come of it. I actually quite enjoyed filling in the survey as the vast majority of the questions were very relatable to an avid golfer like myself.

Also, I never win anything I enter, so I was amazed to have won a prize in the 2015 Golf Care survey competition and was thrilled to find out that the prize was just what I wanted: the first prize, a custom fitted set of Mizuno irons.

I thoroughly enjoyed my custom fitting experience at Moor Allerton Golf Club in Leeds which took just over an hour and involved me warming up with my old clubs and then trying different models to find the irons, shafts and grips which suited my game best.

I chose the JPX 850 irons with regular flex graphite shafts and golf pride grips and I am pleased to report that now that they have arrived they both look and feel absolutely tremendous, and I have no doubt that they will help me to a lower handicap in the near future. The image above is me with my new clubs, just before I was about to start my first round with them this weekend.

I would like to thank both Golf Care and Mizuno for awarding me such a wonderful prize and look to playing many good games with them in the future.”
