Macdonald Cardrona Hotel Golf & Spa is located just 40 minutes’ drive from Edinburgh City Centre. The championship golf course is placed in a very unique setting amongst the beautiful Borders Hills, skirted by the famous River Tweed.
Designed by former Ryder Cup player Dave Thomas back in 2001, the Par 72 parkland and woodland courses feature wide and undulating USGA greens and a distance of over 7000 yards from the medal tees.

Celtic Manor – Roman Road/The Montgomerie courses

The Roman Road course was the very first of the 2010 Ryder Cup Host’s courses to open back in 1995 and was quickly ranked ‘the top inland course in Wales’ by Golf Monthly Magazine. The Par 70 course overlooks the Severn Estuary with views across to Somerset and Devon.
The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior and named after the old Via Julia Roman highway that ran through its fairways. The venue for the All Star Cup 2005–06 and the 2015 Wales Senior Open is bordered by woodland, the challenging course features some long open fairways but also a number of twists and turns through trees and across streams.
The Par 69 Montgomerie course, designed by the legendary Colin Montgomerie who has called on all his Ryder Cup experience to create a course with many exciting tests of strategy. He has also drawn on his roots in Scottish links golf to create a traditional feel enhanced by deep and penal pot bunkers.
Spectacular views abound with dramatic tee shots over valleys and breath-taking downhill shots, it was the stage for the opening event of the 2015 EuroPro Tour season.
Lingfield Park – Marriott
