Golf Club Insurance Cover
Many golfers spend a significant amount of money on golf clubs, and statistics show that millions of pounds of golf clubs are stolen every year in the UK alone. With the increase in golf holidays to other countries, it's also become increasingly common for golf clubs to be damaged or lost in transit when travelling by plane. What many people aren't aware of is that many household insurance policies exclude sports equipment cover whist away from the home - so if your golf clubs are stolen, lost, or damaged, you won't be compensated. It is therefore advisable to have a golf insurance policy to ensure you receive financial compensation if you're unfortunate enough to become a victim of theft, club loss, or damage.
Our golf club replacement cover is on a ‘New for Old’ basis for items purchased new and up to three years old, subject to satisfactory proof of ownership. Items which are older than three years or not purchased new will be replaced on the indemnity value of that equipment at the time of loss or damage. You can extend the standard ‘New for Old for 3 years’ cover to be for the ‘Life’ of your equipment so in the event of a claim you would receive new equipment at your original purchase price, regardless of its age. If you require ‘New for Old For Life’ then simply select this option on your application.
Golf Care's golf club cover is available in four levels according to the value of the equipment you're insuring, and the countries in which you wish to be covered. With our Gold and Platinum policies, you'll have insurance against theft, damage, or loss when you're abroad, so you can go on your golf holiday abroad safe in the knowledge that you're financially covered if anything goes wrong. If you're not travelling abroad, our Silver and Bronze policies are even more affordable, providing excellent value golf insurance for the UK only.
Please note this cover is only in effect whilst playing golf, including travelling to and from the golfing venue. Our golf club cover includes theft from a vehicle between 8.00am to 10.00pm. The vehicle must be fully secured and the equipment is out of sight in either in a locked boot, covered luggage area or van with a secure bulkhead with no access between the cab and the back of the van.
